Commencement Volunteers Needed!

hooding ceremony 2019

ODU is still in need of commencement volunteers. If you are a current graduate student and willing to assist, please contact Katie Elder, Associate Director of Outreach, ODU Alumni Relations immediately at kjelder@odu.edu.

The Alumni Office will be handing out gift bags at the Spring 2021 Commencement. Please note there are not exact location details yet.

  • The plan is to have two tables with gift bags for graduates to pick up as they exit.
  • Volunteers will arrive one hour before the ceremony to help stuff bags/set up tables – shift is over approximately one hour after the ceremony ends/bags are gone.
  • ODU is not taking registration for bags, however, only graduates in their regalia are entitled to the bags.

Please let Katie know if you are available for any of the shifts in red below. Thank you so much for your help!
