Division J (Postsecondary Education) of the American Educational Research Association is seeking volunteers to serve on the Communications Committee. The positions have two-year terms and will work with both the current Division J Vice President (Vasti Torres) and the Vice President – Elect (Jenny Lee). The communications positions are:
- Announcements Editor – creates the weekly announcements for Division J in coordination with the Vice President.
- Newsletter Editor – works with the leadership of Division J to create 3 newsletters annual.
- Webmaster – works with AERA to maintain the Division J website. Will need to be available for training on either May 13th or 14th if possible.
- Social Media – works to promote Division J activities and members on several social media platforms. Over the past two years the co-chairs of the area have also promoted Division J blogs.
These positions are ideal for graduate students or early career scholars interested in getting involved with AERA Division J. Statement of interest should include a short letter stating which position you are applying, experience in this area, and 1 name and contact information of reference.
