It is with deep sadness that we share that Dr. Jeff Pittman, Associate Professor in the School of Education at Regent University, passed away on January 11, 2026.
Dr. Pittman dedicated decades of service to higher education, serving in a wide range of leadership and administrative roles throughout his career, including financial aid, administrative services, academic leadership, and student services. In 2011, he transitioned into a full-time faculty role as an Associate Professor in the School of Education, where he made a lasting impact through his teaching, mentorship, and commitment to students.
Dr. Pittman also served as an adjunct faculty member in the ODU Higher Education program, where many students and colleagues came to know and respect his wisdom, generosity, and steady presence.
Dr. Pittman will be dearly missed by colleagues, students, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. His contributions to the lives of those he taught will not be forgotten.
