Old Dominion University was well represented at the annual SACSA Conference in Louisville in early November! The Conference Theme, Shining Bright: 75 Years of Brilliance, Reflection, and Strength was an opportunity for us to honor SACSA’s rich history as an association.

- Lakshmi Rao Simhambhatla and Haruna Moomin presented on Beyond Enrollment: Addressing Financial Stress for Students in North Carolina, South Carolina, and VIrginia
- Haruna Moomin partnered with a former cohort member from the University of South Carolina and presented on Addressing Higher Housing and Food Insecurity through Bourdieu’s Social Reproduction Framework
- Caroline Dewberry and Cindy Jones presented on Bright Futures Begin Early: Implementing Career Development for Freshmen
- Cindy Jones and Lakshmi Rao Simhambhatla came second in the Annual Case Study competition!
- Carlin Conaway received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award for Outstanding Contributions by a Graduate Student Member of the Association!

- Dr. Kim Bullington received the Ted K. Miller Award for Excellence for Outstanding Leadership in Promoting the CAS Standards in the Student Affairs Profession!
