Check out the website here: https://oduabroad.odu.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgramAngular&id=11769
This study abroad program focuses on the current developments in higher education systems internationally, with a focus on Scotland as it relates to the development of systems of higher education in the world today. The design of the program enables students to examine both the culture and several different higher education institutions in Scotland. This study aboard program focuses on globalization’s dramatic impact on Scotland and its transformation over the last 25+ years. Students will explore how Scottish institutions have engaged in efforts to adapt to its place in the world economy across a range of contexts – from cosmopolitan cities to more rural, small town areas. Students will also explore the meanings of this transformation for traditional culture and society, including themes of promise and loss through first-hand stories from university leaders, to students, to immigrants, to families as they balance traditional ways of life in a more global Scotland.
