Congratulations Dr. Emily Hanson Moore (CCL Ph.D. ’24)!

CCL Program doctoral candidate Emily Hanson Moore successfully defended her dissertation on April 26, 2024. Her dissertation is titled, Work-Life Balance Fantasy of Mothers Working in Community Colleges: A Glitch Methodology Using Artful, Intimate Inquiry. Dr. Moore’s dissertation committee included Dr. Laura Smithers (University of Nevada-Reno) Co-Chair, Dr. Mitchell R. Williams, Co-Chair,  Dr. Charles Mathias, and Dr. Saralyn McKinnon-Crowley (Baylor University).

Dr. Moore is Department Chair for Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities and Assistant Professor of English and Communication Studies at Eastern Shore Community College in Melfa, Virginia. She earned her master’s degree at Old Dominion University and her bachelor’s degree from George Mason University. She can be reached at:
