The Center for the Study of Higher Education at the College of Education at the University of Arizona is accepting applications for a Post-Doctoral Scholar with a background in higher education and/or education research. The post-doctoral scholar will work on the RISE-UPP social science research team, led by Dr. Leslie D. Gonzales (RISE-UPP Co-Principal Investigator, University of Arizona) and Dr. Dawn Culpepper (RISE-UPP Research Team Lead, University of Maryland College Park). RISE-UPP is a National Science Foundation funded project and part of the NSF’s INCLUDES portfolio. RISE-UPP aims to facilitate the recruitment, training, network building, and subsequent hire of minoritized postdoctoral scholars into tenure-track positions at R1, R2, and teaching-intensive institutions.
The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to be a thought partner on all aspects of the research project, including designing and implementing the study, collecting and analyzing data, and disseminating results in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, and other venues. The postdoc will also have access to professional development opportunities and mentorship as relevant to their career interests/goals. The fellowship will be contracted on an annual basis with possible renewal for up to three years. Candidates must submit a cover letter describing interests and fit with the position, a current curriculum vitae, two writing samples (such as a literature review, report, or research article).
