Dear Student Affairs/Higher Education Master’s Student:
How and why did you choose student affairs/higher education as your career goal?
Your graduate program has agreed to forward our invitation to you to participate in our study that explores how and why today’s students made that choice. Your participation is voluntary, and your graduate program will not know if you participated or not. Over 15 years ago, Deborah J. Taub and Marylu McEwen (2006) published “Decision to Enter the Profession of Student Affairs.” Our study takes a fresh look at this question from the perspective of today’s students.
Follow this link https://uncw.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eVVXiYlsrzIlI46 to the consent form and survey. It should take you about 15 minutes to complete. Data will be grouped at the student level and no analyses will be performed by graduate programs. This research study has been approved by the UNCW Institutional Review Board #20-0253.
Thank you for your help! Best wishes for a great academic year!
Sincerely,
Deborah J. Taub
