Matt McGraw (CCL Ph.D. ’16) has been selected as a Fulbright Scholar for 2023. He will represent the American community college sector as a whole, and Mountain Gateway Community College in particular, in Taiwan in March for a project on comparative higher education systems.
Two CCL+HIED denizens won major honors at this year’s Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA) conference! Dr. Kim Bullington (HIED Ed.S. ’10, HIED Ph.D. ’14, current faculty) was awarded the 2022 Mid-Level Professional Award, and Melanie Graham (HIED Ph.D. student) was awarded SACSA’s 2022 Outstanding Graduate Student Award.
Ann Simpson (CCL Ph.D. candidate) is the featured faculty member in Laurel Ridge Community College’s October 2022 STEM Faculty Showcase. The showcase highlights her nearly 30-year career at Laurel Ridge as well as her authorship of many books on parks and nature alongside her husband.
