Internship: Paid Summer Internship in Disability Services

My office will be engaging in a lot of transition programming, so we have decided to hire a graduate intern to help us with our programming and work this summer. Some of the responsibilities this intern will undertake include:

  • Managing the successful execution of the family and disabled student transition programs during Summer Orientation
  • Assist in development of early arrival transition programming
  • Assist the Learning Specialist in planning and ongoing development of learning support programs
  • Assist in the administration of academic accommodations
  • Assist in organizing other educational events and programs
  • Engage in professional development in transition programming and disabled student services, including attending the national AHEAD conference

We are targeting graduate students to fill this position. It is a paid position and we are working on securing on-campus housing and a meal allowance for the intern, paid for by the office. Start date is May 16th (though we are flexible with that date and offer a remote start if needed) with an anticipated end date of August 5th.
