Dr. Kia Hardy, CCL Ph.D. ’19, is the lead author of the article, Preparing to Fill the Leadership Gap: The Challenges Facing Women Leaders in Mid-Level Positions at Urban Community Colleges, recently published in the Journal of Women in Educational Leadership: Dr. Hardy is the Dean of Advising/Dean of the Virginia Beach Campus for Tidewater Community College. Co-authors with Dr. Hardy are Dr. Mitchell R. Williams, Dr. Kim Bullington, and Dr. Felecia Commodore, all of Old Dominion University.

HIED alum Kimberley Buster-Williams has a new job and a new book. On the job front, she has been named the new Vice President for Enrollment Management at Northeastern Illinois University: On the book front, she has just published History of Higher Education from A-Z: A Primer for Enrollment Managers:

Dr. Pietro Sasso (HIED Ph.D. ’12) and Dr. Kim Bullington (HIED Ed.S. ’10; Ph.D. ’14) recently published separate chapters in the second From Letters to Leaders book series entitled From Letters to Leaders: Redefining New Member Education and Leveraging Belonging to Eliminate Hazing: Dr. Sasso’s chapter is on the role of legacies in SFL organizations, and Dr. Bullington’s chapter is on finding ways to make Rituals more inclusive.
