Natalie Cruz, Higher Education Ph.D. candidate, is a finalist in this year’s university-wide 3-Minute-Thesis competition! Come join us on February 11 at 6pm in cheering her on – and voting for her as well 🙂 From the Graduate School:
The Graduate School cordially invites you to attend the 4th Annual ODU 3-Minute-Thesis (3MT®) competition being held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 via an online platform.
Students have three minutes to present their scholarship in such a way that a general audience understands and appreciates its importance and achievement.
The competition begins at 6:00 p.m. and concludes by 8:00 p.m. Barbara Hamm Lee, owner of Sharing Info, Inc. and host of WHRO’s Another View, is the emcee. She is joined by three VIP judges from the community who bring diverse academic backgrounds and expertise to their evaluations of the students.
Graduate students representing a wide range of advanced degrees (at both doctoral and master’s levels) are competing for a $1,000 first prize, $750 second prize, and $500 “people’s choice” award (you, the audience, choose who wins $500!). The first-place winner will represent ODU at a regional competition hosted by the Council of Southern Graduate Schools.
Please RSVP your attendance by clicking on this link: https://forms.gle/HddivoiSjbJgZZqz9.
The online link to join the event will be distributed by February 9th.
We look forward to you joining us at this highly anticipated event!
