ODU HIED alumnus Walter Parrish III coauthored the article, “Supporting inclusive learning environments and professional development in medical education through an identity and inclusion initiative” in the journal Academic Medicine. Congratulations, Walter!

ODU HIED alumnus Reshaud Rich shares the following update:
During a summer of racial unrest and increasing unemployment, Reshaud Rich (M.S.Ed) decided to take his knowledge of higher education to a non-academic stage. Should he quit his day job or focus on serving students? You be the judge when you click Like or Dislike.

ODU HIED alumnus Katey Howerton has taken a new position as Associate Dean for Advancement for the William & Mary Law School.  She serves as the chief fundraiser and the dean’s strategic partner.  She supervises all of development, alumni engagement and communications. She is happy to zoom with HIED students to talk about the job search and her experience going from student affairs to advancement. Congratulations, Katey!

ODU HIED alumnus Jason Lynch, currently Assistant Professor of Higher Education at Appalachian State University, has launched his own podcast called “Careers in Higher Ed.” Each week he interviews a different professional in the field on a variety of topics related to working in higher education.  His newest episode features Jamarco Clark, Director of Leadership & Engagement at the University of Iowa.  The podcast website is below, and you can also subscribe/stream via Apple Podcast and Spotify.
