The National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to support the Research, Grants, and Assessment area of the Center.

The postdoctoral research associate will work closely with Center staff to carry out projects related to the Center’s original research agenda and grant-seeking activities. We are particularly interested in applications from candidates with experience in assessment, strong quantitative research skills, as well as proficiency in qualitative and mixed methods research.

The postdoctoral research associate will be involved in creating an assessment toolkit, survey planning, data analysis, regularly attending planning and project meetings, and writing up results for both practitioner and research venues. The Center’s current research plan includes national surveys on senior capstone experiences and first-year experience programs as well as a coordinated international survey on peer leaders including sites in six countries.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have experience conducting rigorous, high quality and meaningful research
