Are you interested in supporting International Education within the Commonwealth of Virginia?
Virginia International Educators is a professional organization of over 250 administrators, educators and community volunteers, committed to promoting the cause of international education in the Virginia area.
The Spring 2019 VIE Conference will be held on Friday, March 29th at Old Dominion University in Norfolk. Registration is now open! Please visit the VIE Registration Page and see the attached flyer for more information on the conference and how to register. Registration is only $40 and covers the registration cost, a light breakfast, and lunch.
Calling all graduate students!
Are you a graduate student or do you know a graduate student that would be interested in showcasing international education research?
For the first time ever at the VIE conference, we are inviting graduate students to present research posters during our break periods. This is a low pressure chance for graduate students to gain experience presenting their research, and an opportunity for current practitioners to learn about recent research in the field.
We have approximately 5 available slots, so please sign up using the Graduate Student Poster Proposal Form. The deadline for submission is March 15th. If you have questions, please contact Kimberley Cossey at kcossey@vt.edu.
Conference Sessions:
As always, we are looking for great session proposals. We are especially in need of Education Abroad and Enrollment Management sessions. If you have a session to propose, or you would like to test-drive your 2019 NAFSA Regional presentation, please fill out the online Session Proposal Form. The deadline for submission is March 15th.
Interested in Volunteering?
Please complete the volunteer survey. The shifts are 7am to 11am and 11am to 3pm, and will include such tasks as parking assistance, check-in, and room guidance. You will receive a follow-up email in mid-March with additional information.
