Darden College of Education Dissertation Fellowship (2019-2020)

Up to four dissertation fellowships will be awarded with the intention of supporting students full-time in their final year of doctoral studies while they are completing their dissertations.  Applicants must have completed at least 3 terms of full-time doctoral work or the equivalent of part-time doctoral work by the time that the award is to be received and must be projected to complete their final dissertation defense within the upcoming academic year. Students must be enrolled full-time during the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters and must devote full-time to their academic studies.
Award Amount:  Stipend of $15,000 and 18 credit hours of in-state tuition
Criteria for Selection:  Applications are reviewed by a panel of Graduate Program Faculty (GPD) from each department.  In selecting fellowship recipients, the following criteria will be considered:
• Superior academic performance compared to peers during doctoral studies
• Promise for success as a doctoral-level professional
• Potential of applicant to make a significant contribution to the field
