The Leading Change Inaugural Conference 2019: Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Leadership Studies (LEADCC19) is a regional academic conference designed to showcase leadership research of graduate students and faculty. Proposals related to organizational leadership (for-profit, nonprofit, and higher education) with both practical and academic value are welcomed and encouraged.
LEADCC19 will be held Thursday February 21 & Friday February 22, 2019 at Hotel Madison and Shenandoah Valley Conference Center.
Call for Proposals
The School of Strategic Leadership Studies (SSLS) of James Madison University seeks proposals from a diverse range of graduate level leadership scholars and researchers from higher education institutions. Proposals must have a leadership emphasis but can be from any discipline. In line with the conference theme, Leading Change: Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Leadership Studies, conference tracks will focus on leadership in higher education, nonprofit and community leadership, and organizational science.
Please note that all self-identifying information should be removed from proposal for blind review.
In 1000 words or less, the proposal should address the following:
- Alignment with the conference leadership theme;
- Problem or issue that will be addressed in the presentation;
- Topic’s relation to the state of knowledge in the field (including relevant literature and theory);
- Methodological approach (including analytical strategy and data sources);
- A brief account of conclusion and its significance to an interdisciplinary audience.
All proposals and should be submitted via the James Madison University Qualtrics survey tool.
