The Student Affairs Department at Elizabeth City State University is hiring a Case Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to students who are experiencing barriers to degree attainment, beyond anticipated challenges with academic rigor. This Case Manager is responsible for triage and coordination of efforts across divisions, as an extension of C.A.R.E. and Communal Engagement. The Case Manager makes recommendations and facilitates support of students who have difficulties that could cause a student’s focus, efforts, and resources to be diverted away from active engagement in the learning and social environment, and may have an negative impact on persistence. Referrals to the Office of the Dean of Students may include health issues, mental health concerns and behavioral problems to include substance abuse, or other related issues that have or may have an impact on their college experience and success. The Case Manager is a member of the Office of the Dean of Students staff. The position requires 40 hours work per week and may require evening and/or weekend work.
