2023 AERA Annual Meeting Graduate Student Assistance Fund
Call for Applications
Submissions Due January 19, 2023, 11:59 p.m. PT
AERA invites applications for the Annual Meeting Graduate Student Assistance Fund(AMGSAF). This fund will provide support to enable graduate student members of AERA with demonstrated need to offset the cost of attending the place-based component of the 2023 AERA Annual Meeting in Chicago, April 13-16.
This new funding initiative aims to expand access to the Annual Meeting for graduate students by offering an additional funding resource for those who might not otherwise be able to attend the place-based meeting. AERA is piloting this Association-wide Annual Meeting Assistance Fund as part of its continuing commitment to prioritize graduate students in our field and to support their success through targeted programming and initiatives.
AERA will make approximately 100 awards (up to a maximum of $500) to graduate student members to help offset the cost of attending the 2023 Annual Meeting in Chicago.
Students enrolled in institutions both within and outside the U.S. are eligible to apply. Graduate students who receive travel funding for the 2023 Annual Meeting from other AERA sources (e.g., divisions or SIGs) are not eligible for funding from the AMGSAF. Submissions will be reviewed by a sub-committee of the AERA Council. Students who are selected to receive funding will be notified February 15 and will receive their funds by March 15.
